An old-fashioned Fourth of July on scenic Whidbey Island is a family-friendly Fourth of July Celebration. It takes place every year at Windjammer Park in the middle of Oak Harbor, blending community spirit, a beach‑side carnival, a grand parade and spectacular fireworks display. Visitors enjoy games, live music and delicious food.  This year there will be a grand parade on Monday morning and fireworks later in the evening with a festive carnival running the whole weekend, from June 30th to July 4.  For details visit www.oakharborchamber.com and click on “events.” For more information on amenities, lodging and a calendar of events visit whidbeycamanoislands.com.
