Skillet recently announced an expansion of its catering division with fresh summer menus, a growing team helmed by Chef David Van Gelder and a newly expanded space in Georgetown. This evening the team treated select media and event planners to a preview of what’s to come and the results were delicious!
With three trucks and a team that will grow by more than 50 members at peak event season, Skillet plans to expand its offerings for weddings, corporate events and group gatherings.
Skillet’s new menus include northwest-inspired fare with watermelon and prawn skewers with feta, mint and parsley with a chili ginger drizzle; seared rock fish with preserved lemon chutney, melted fennel and leeks; a hanger steak marinated in Dijon, thyme and rosemary, and more. Those looking for something a bit further afield can choose from a Southern comfort menu with braised greens, Skillet’s signature fried chicken and jambalaya or the Latin-inspired offerings headlined by the beer-braised Mexican short ribs.
